Your Guide

Captain Kevin Campbell strives to provide you the very best guided experience while fishing Lake Powell. Kevin prides himself in being a "guide" and takes the job very seriously. "My goal is not to catch more fish than the clients or just provide a boat ride and casting platform. My goal is to put you on fish and help you understand the hows and whys about catching fish in each unique situation while having a great time in the process."

I wanted to let you know how much Tom and I enjoyed fishing with you.  We learned a lot from you and caught a lot of stripers.  You did a great job finding the fish for us and we will be trying the same techniques on the stripers here at Lake Pleasant.  Your boat was very comfortable and rode well.  We enjoyed the lunch that you prepared for us.  We were happy to see how good the fish cleaning facilities are at Lake Powell.  Thanks again for a really enjoyable day on the lake.  I would certainly recommend your excellent services to anyone!    ~Al Jones

Your Day

Your day with Lake Powell Outfitters begins at the launch ramp or on your houseboat where you'll meet Capt. Kevin Campbell. Hop aboard his seaworthy 23 foot boat and head out on your fishing adventure. Drop anchovies down to schooling stripers and load the boat in short order. Sight-fish for bedded large and smallmouth bass in the spring when the conditions are right. Throw topwater lures and marvel at the explosive strikes you draw. Pull crankbaits by main lake points for walleye. Fly fish for stripers and bass with instruction from your expert guide. When the stripers and bass push baitfish to the top, the action is red-hot.

These are just a few scenarios that you may experience during your trip with Lake Powell Fishing Guide Captain Kevin Campbell and Lake Powell Outfitters.

Lake Powell Striper Fishing
2009 STARTS OFF
WITH A BANG

With the abundance of baitfish and higher water levels in Lake Powell during 2008, all species of fish have taken advantage of the bounty and are growing rapidly.  This spring has been some of the best bass fishing we have seen for many years. Largemouth fishing among the flooded brush has yielded bragging size fish and smallmouth have been bigger than previous years. The fall of 08 saw average stripers of 3-4 pounds. This spring, 4-5 pound fish have been common. The water temps have risen and the fishing is breaking loose in a big way.

My Spring schedule fills up quickly, call your fishing buddies and plan your trip soon. Cell: 928-640-2211
